This is an experiment. Simply a continuation of what I do offline. Hopefully this little thing will work; we'll see how it goes. Here's the deal: I make zines. daily. or atleast.... I used to. Just a little booklet once a day to review how the day went. Like a journal. Later I'll post some tutorials for you so you can make your own little daily zine. It's pretty easy. And fun. And good for the soul.
But let's start with today.
Today Hound Dog Press is being expanded.
There's so much to say. Where to even start? Just today. We'll stick to today.
Today I learned about screen printing factories. They smell....bad. Not in the front, and not where the designers work. In the back. Where people pack up boxes to be shipped. Some people have low skilled jobs. Put three pages between two slabs of cardboard. Tape Together. Put a sticker on it. Put three pages between two slabs of cardboard. Tape together. Put a sticker on it.
Put three pages between two slabs of cardboard. Tape together. Put a sticker on it.
Do this for eight hours straight in a room where you don't know if it's night or day outside. With fumes that make you dizzy. And then come back tomorrow.
Some of us are lucky. We don't work in factories. Today I realized how truly blessed I am. Today I learned something.
Did
you
learn
something...
...today?
I'd love to hear about what you learned. Feel free to comment.
